In this article, we will consider the power of attraction. But, it is not the power of attraction that we may have heard of in the past.
It is not the power of attraction that supposedly means that if we keep thinking of a red Porsche, we are attracting a red Porsche, and that we will soon have this red Porsche standing in front of our door.
It is not related to fulfilling our egoistic desires and cravings. Yet, it is an attraction that dissolves our egoistic desires and cravings.
This attraction is towards a Hidden Treasure.
We may use a word or a name suitable to our own longing. The longing for God, the Divine Mother, Oneness, Peace, Buddha Nature, Consciousness, or so.
So, we may be longing for our Beloved. We desire to know our Beloved, to unite with our Beloved.
As we start this journey to our beloved, we notice that we have to let go and give up many things that prevent us from union with our Beloved. We have to clear out our hearts and make space for the Divine Mother. We have to declutter the Queen's throne so She can take Her place.
We have to "sacrifice" our egotistic attachments and desires, and divert this attention and energy towards our Beloved.
We have to let go of all the garbage we are clinging to, so our hands can become free and open to be taken into the hands of our Beloved.
All of this may seem like a big sacrifice, but it is not.
See, what we are seeking, is also seeking us.
We feel this Divine Presence pulling us inwards, pulling our seemingly individual awareness or presence into the Peaceful, Divine Presence.
But, the thing is that there has never been "two" presences. There has never been a separate "awareness".
It is as if the longing collapses into the Longed. The desire falls back into the Desired.
Imagine a wave falling back into the ocean...
As we dissolve into our Beloved, it seems as if our Beloved becomes the Seer, the Hearer, the Knower, the Experiencer, the Witness to all things. However, we realize that our Beloved has always been the exclusive Seer, Hearer, Knower, Experiencer, and Witness to all things.
All along, the longing was the Beloved's own.
She was longing to know Herself.

Not two
As we surrender, and as we clear our hearts, we begin to sense our Beloved's Presence. But, somehow, we cannot distinguish between our own presence and the Presence of the Beloved. It is a strange paradox.See, what we are seeking, is also seeking us.
